Dubai, United Arab Emirates – 6 November 2024: The 8th edition of The Best Chef Awards concluded with a dazzling ceremony at Dubai's iconic Atlantis, The Palm, marking the first time the prestigious event took place in the Middle East. Supported by the Dubai Department of Economy and Tourism (DET), this year’s awards celebrated a record 550 chefs from 61 countries, highlighting Dubai’s growing prominence as a global culinary capital.

Chef Ana Roš was honored with The Best Voted by Professionals award, a distinction underscoring her peers' admiration and respect for her work. Additionally, she achieved the coveted "three knives" distinction—awarded to chefs who scored over 80% of the maximum points, symbolizing the pinnacle of culinary artistry.

Ana Roš expressed her gratitude, stating, “This ‘voted by professionals’ award means a lot to me—not only personally but also for Slovenia. It was completely unexpected, yet it confirms that my team and I have maintained a high standard in world cuisine since The Best Chef Awards began eight years ago. I’m incredibly proud of my team and our commitment to our philosophy of ‘no waste,’ which prioritizes responsibility towards nature and society. I would like to especially congratulate Slovenian chefs Luka Košir and David Žefran who made it on the list as well. Slovenia’s gastronomic future is certainly bright«

Roš’s “three knives” distinction also solidifies Hiša Franko's reputation as one of the world’s elite culinary establishments.
