Forces of nature: 4-hands dinner Hiša Franko x Trèsind
Rome, 22 October 2026 – Ana Roš, chef of the three-Michelin-starred Hiša Franko, has been honoured with the prestigious Luxury Food 2026 Award in Rome, marking another significant international recognition for Slovenian gastronomy and further strengthening Slovenia's position on the global culinary map.
The award was presented during an official ceremony at Palazzo Giustiniani, home to the Italian Senate, where 32 internationally acclaimed chefs were recognised for their outstanding contributions to contemporary gastronomy. The distinction celebrates creativity, sustainability, cultural identity, respect for local traditions and a new understanding of luxury in the culinary world.
Ana Roš joined an exceptional group of internationally renowned chefs, including Hélène Darroze, Massimiliano Alajmo, Enrico Crippa and Mauro Uliassi. The inaugural Luxury Food Awards, initiated by journalist Annalisa Cavaleri with the support of Italian Senate Vice President Gian Marco Centinaio, highlighted a new philosophy of luxury — one defined not by extravagance, but by authenticity, creativity, respect for nature and the preservation of cultural heritage.
The recognition holds particular significance for Slovenia, demonstrating how the country's distinctive culinary identity, exceptional local ingredients and innovative approaches continue to earn recognition on the international gastronomic stage.
The Luxury Food 2026 Award is another acknowledgement of the international reputation of Ana Roš and Hiša Franko.
