|About the restaurant|
|There are 2 dining areas in Hiša Franko that can accommodate up to 45 people with tables for 2 to maximum 6 people. Aditionaly we can accommodate 1 bigger table of 7 to 12 people. In case your reservation is for a group bigger then 12 people, we can split the group in 2 different tables (upon availability)
Smoking is not allowed in the dining area.
Your reservation concerns occupation and not location. Your table may be located either in one or the other dining area. If you have any special wishes regarding the location of your table, please let us know.
Children are welcome too. If your child needs a baby chair, please inform us about it when making the reservation so we can prepare the table accordingly. We kindly ask you to take care your child does not disturb other guests. There is no special children’s menu, but you can choose some dishes from the regular degustation menu or the kitchen can prepare some pasta with tomato sauce and local cheese.
Our dress code is smart casual.
Dogs are allowed in the restaurant, as long as the owners keep them quite and close to them. We provide water bowls for dogs too. Please be informed there are cats and our own dog around the house as well.
There is a big parking space in front of the house where you can park your car free of charge.
We take all types of credit cards.
We do not issue gift vouchers.
You are kindly asked to come for dinner at agreed time. In case you are late for half an hour or more, we will be obliged to shorten your menu, charging the same price.
MENUS AND FOOD PREFERENCES
In the restaurant we prepare 2 different tasting menus you can choose from. There is no à la carte choice.

There is a large wine list focused on organic wines. We also offer wine pairings.
All diners sitting at the same table need to have the same tasting menu (except children and people with allergies).
If you have any allergies or food restrictions, please advise us at least 1 week before your arrival. If we are not informed about your restrictions in time, we may not be able to adjust your menu.
We can only adjust the menu for the following allergies and restrictions. Please see below the philosophy of Hiša Franko and our chef Ana Roš:
»We are a countryside restaurant which is taking from local environment, trying to do our best to make it understand and appreciate by our clients. In local traditions we do eat and we do combine meat, fish, a lot of diary products, eggs and vegetables. All products are locally sourced, some even home produced. Whenever you give us your list of dietary restrictions you make our work more difficult and especially you limit your pleasure of the table.
We may cook for pesceterians (no meat), for people who would like their menu without fish, but enjoy meat, gluten free, lactose free, no nuts, no shellfish, pregnant women. We can guarantee the long menu but we cannot guarantee the same firework of tastes as we do in the regular menu. We can in some cases remove meat/fish without necessarily substitute it with something else if we consider that the dish can work without the specific element. We cannot accommodate vegans or vegeterians (without fish).
In the case of dislike/different allergy, diet then above mentioned we will do everything to change the dish with another dish from the second menu if possible/available but we cannot cook a totally different food because of your dietary restrictions.«

A reservation in the restaurant does not automatically mean you have a reservation for the room and vice versa.
All the reservations need to be made via email on the email address email@example.com or by filling in the form on our website: http://www.hisafranko.com/en/reservation/ .You are welcome to check availability on the phone, but we still require an email to confirm the reservation.
The reservation is confirmed only when you receive an email confirming your reservation.
We will contact you again 3 to 7 days on your email address before your arrival for a short confirmation of your reservation to double check the reservation.
Our cancellation policy: cancelation up to one week before arrival – without costs; cancellation up to 3 days before arrival – 50% of the long degustation menu per person booked; cancellation last three days before arrival or no show – 100% of the long degustation menu per person booked.
|About the rooms|
|There are 10 double rooms in Hiša Franko, but please be informed we don’t want to be a hotel, we are a 19th century country side. Or rooms are essentially in the service of guests who do not want to drive after dinner.
Extra beds in the rooms and baby cots are available on request.
Some of the rooms can be arranged into a twin room.
All the rooms have their own bathroom (shower, toilette), 2 rooms are equipped with a massage tub. They are all equipped with hair dryer, fan, flat screen TV, free wi-fi.
The check in is after 2.00pm, the check out is until 11.00am. The reception desk is not open 24 hours a day. In case of late check in and early check out, please inform us.
A valid identity document is needed for every person checking in including children.
Breakfast is served from 8.00am until 10.30am.
Dogs are allowed in the rooms too.
